Try putting another device on the FW bus and you'll find that the Ensemble doesn't work all well any more. Be it an another audio interface or something as innocuous as a hard drive. You'll get pops, outs, fizzles and FW issues you've never experienced before. Plus if you try to do a firmware with anything else on the FW bus, the Maestro software won't even find the Apogee. Granted this is a top notch quality interface, but it's "driver" age is showing and it doesn't play well with others.
