Using Tape2Pc last year worked very well BUT since I Tunes d to version 9, it takes forever to a single song to transfer to I Tunes. (A 2min. song takes 6 min. Imagine a 90 min. cassette. Is there a solution?

What about all of us with four track cassette productions AND at varying speeds? I'd need a head that could play the "portastudio" format. I have stuff at 1 7/8ths and the higher 3 3/4ths with Dolby and DBx. None at the 15/16ths. The Tascam 424 had THREE SPEEDS plus about 12% pitch adjustment.

I use a program to separate wave files into tracks called CD wave editor there are other programs. The program has a free trial period and then they ask you pay a small amount. The program lets you see the wave file so you can narrow down where to separate the tracks.

Thanks so much for your tips - I recorded an entire 90-minute cassette last night with no sound because the Tape2PC instructions don't mention changing the audio settings first!! I had no idea how to fix it until I found your column. Now I can record with sound, but I can't figure out how to separate the long file into tracks unless I sit there and push the button at the right moments as it records in real time. Can you help?
