Hey Hey, this unit sounds like what I need, however the firewire interface is a problem as my macbook doesn't have firewire (my imac at home does) and I need it for both computers. I have noticed a usb cable with multiple connections (including firewire 400) from the U.S? Do you guys know of something like this or another way around the issue?

Thanks for this, I have been looking for an unbiased review of this piece of kit.

I've used the Mackie 400F ONYX for close to three years now as a project studio. It shines supreme. I am so happy with this unit that when it craps out, and comes time to upgrade, I might just hunt for it on ebay and just buy another one. The preamps are clean and clear. The dual headphone monitoring is crisp, and gets very loud. The interface is SIMPLE. I have certainly bought other mackie gear in the past, but this unit made me a Mackoid. Plus, the customer care has been exceptional. They always respond to emails within 24 hours. And have honored expired warranties even. Above and beyond the call of duty.
