Did anyone do the mic test using a vocaist? Picking a microphone is a matter of personal taste for vocals, but back in the day I much prefered the sound...and the feel...of the A-T over both the usual Shure SM57 and 58. Rb

Great article. The blind test results were very interesting to read. It proves that there are lots of great microphones for a hundred bucks out there. It looks like there may be some great choices for toms that are much less expensive than a MD421.
