Another reason to have your studio AT HOME and not let just anybody record there. It's obvious that the thieves had been in the studio, knew what was there, knew what the security system was like and took what they wanted, either for resale or personal use. It's either a former employee or a client. Joe Blow walking down the street doesn't know what you have unless he's been in there. It's sad,but that's the type of place we live in today. We need a little Middle Eastern "hand cutting" in this country, but that ain't gonna happen.

In 2011 you'd think they'd have a wireless/celluar monitored alarm system, where if the phone lines are cut then there is no way around it for the people breaking in. All the sensors are wirless on all entrances/exits and motion detectors are wirless also. It sounds like to me they had an old fashioned system. I'd be surprised if their insurance pays for this (if they even had insurance). Just doesn't make sense.

What a shame. I hope they find these thugs. All that gear will be cursed with bad karma until returned to the rightful owner. Everyone should keep a record of their serial numbers and keep in a safe place. And shame on anyone buying this or any other stolen gear.

As to the comment of 04/21/ 2011, I agree with the first person. As for the second writer I say sure let them in your home you idiot. You don't know who your friends are and /or clients. Nothing is sacred now a days. There is no safe way to protect yourself unless you have 24/7 staff or a better alarm system and a police department that cares about the small businessman. I have been in the industry for 35 years and I never have had this happen. Why. Just lucky or we had a better handle on who our clients are and how to protect ourselves. Hate to point a finger but I would bet it was a hip hop crew. Not a racist but agency people and label artists dont need this crap. Only a moron steals from a studio no matter what the race. Inside job for sure. My thoughts and that's all it is. To the Morrisound brothers, I will keep my ears open for any news and will call you directly. Peace and thank God no one got hurt.
