Broadway Backs Sound Designers

In the wake of the Tony Awards Administration Committee’s controversial decision to eliminate the Best Sound Design categories, members of the theater community have been coming to the aid of Sound Designers, adding their voices to the outcry. One of the more surprising developments has been the creation of the #TonyCanYouHearMe hashtag on Twitter and Instagram, used by numerous Broadway notables—including castmembers from both shows that won 2014 Tony Awards for Best Sound Design—to both bring attention to the situation and show their support.
