The 2017 editions of the Pro Light+Sound and Musikmesse conventions, held simultaneously in Frankfurt, Germany, offered visitors a direct line on the latest in pro audio and the MI world. There was tons of gear, hundreds of exhibitors and much more. Everything we saw, we shared on our social media (www.facebook.com/prosoundnews and @prosoundnews on Twitter). Here’s some of the more interesting things that caught our eye.

It was a busy day at ES-Pro Audio's massive booth, featuring lots of hot gear & goods, like API's Legacy AXS console.

Lots of black and white in the Amphion studio monitor booth, with a gorgeous SessionDesk in the center.

Mackie was demoing its AXIS system, featuring the DC16 control surface.

A look at L-Acoustics' impressive Syva system demonstration at Pro Light+Sound.

At Pro Light+Sound: We're at Ferrofish, checking out the affordable/flexible Pulse 16 AD/DA with Jürgen and Kim Anna.

World's largest dB meter at PL+S' Concert Sound Arena. Great shootout!

Lewitt was showing its new (and affordable) LCT 240 PRO.

MIPRO presented its unique DM-100 cajon mic, usable wired or wireless.

Audio Precision's James Kelly with the company new proprietary measurement mic

HUM Audio Devices' Krzysztof Tonn unveiled the world's first remote-controlled stereo/m-s ribbon mic with built-in high-end discrete preamps.

Solid State Logic turned a lot of heads with its brand-new L200 live console, intended for smaller tours that want SSL.

300 Hz-20 kHz, no crossover needed, from one driver? Yes! Meet Celestion's Axi2050.

Talk about "light" & "sound"...after hours of walking the show floor, seeing the latest in pro audio, it was time for the brainLight full sensory relaxation demo!
