Hicksville, NY (July 13, 2017)—Hotone has announced its XTOMP mini, the core and hardware component of its flagship XTOMP Bluetooth Modeling Effects Pedal System. Featuring a small (mobile phone-sized) solid aluminum pedal stompbox, the XTOMP system simulates over 140 different classic, vintage and modern effects for guitar, bass and more.

The XTOMP mini uses a iOS or Android mobile app via Bluetooth or a Windows or MacOS desktop app via USB with an expanding effects library ideal for guitarists and bassists as well as keyboard players, singers, DJs and other audio content creators.

The XTOMP mini utilizes Hotone’s Comprehensive Dynamic Circuit Modeling (CDCM) technology. According to Hotone, CDCM processes various incoming signals dynamically, unlike other popular modeling systems that use the same modeling circuit regardless of the signal. As such, CDCM is reportedly more realistic and natural in tonality. Effects library categories available to the XTOMP mini include Amplifier, Cabinet, Distortion, Dynamic, Frequency, Modulation and Ambient.

Key features of the pedal include a buffered bypass On/Off footswitch with 100% analog signal path; six transparent parameter knobs with LEDs; 20Hz–20kHz frequency response; 24-bit A/D/A conversion; 30+ amplifier/cabinet models; 60+ pedal effect models; 50+ Hotone original effects; 9V DC (center negative) operation (power supply sold separately); and more.

OMP mini’s mobile app is available for free in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The free desktop app (Windows and macOS) can be downloaded directly from the product website, listed below. Both apps are designed to easily manage tones, including loading effects and firmware updates into the pedal via Bluetooth (mobile) or USB (desktop).

The XTOMP mini is available for sale in the U.S. today and internationally on July 15 for $149.99 street.
