Part of Moog’s Taurus family of analog bass synthesizers, the Minitaur ($539) is a notably compact, subharmonic bass machine in a solid steel chassis, built for both performance and music production applications.

The new Minitaur v2.2 update expands this analog bass synthesizer with a number of new performance elements and user requested features. These include 128 recallable onboard presets; a free editor and librarian software, offering DAW integration with full Windows OS support; five new modulation sources (Tri, Sqr, Saw, Ramp, S&H and Filter EG); hard sync and “modulate oscillator 2 only” settings for syncopated “metallic sweeps and surge” sounds; assignable CV/gate inputs; and CV to MIDI conversion for in-DAW analog control via digital circuits.
