With nearly 500 country music artists drawing an average daily footprint of 87,680 fans from all 50 states and 20 foreign countries, the Country Music Association’s annual CMA Music Festival set another all-time attendance record this year. Originally known as Fan Fair, today’s CMA Music Festival started in 1972 as a meet-and-greet event. Festival Lands At Airport With Capital

Disclosure & Rudimental Present Wild Life, a four-stage, two-day event staged at Brighton City Airport in the UK, faced a number of hurdles when it was held earlier this month: it was a first-time fest; neighbors, including churches and homes were as close as 1,300-feet away; and winds were gusting as high as 30 MPH. Nonetheless, the event went off smoothly, and promoters said the number of complaints was reportedly lower than they’d expected.  MORE

Los Angeles radio station has held its annual KROQ Weenie Roast and Fiesta for years, and the 2015 edition served up the likes of Cold War Kids, Vance Joy, Awolnation, Walk The Moon, Panic! At The Disco, Death Cab For Cutie, Florence + The Machine, Of Monsters and Men and MUSE, among others. Cruising to rock n’ roll used to mean playing the radio while driving, but these days, it’s a whole new business: high-seas cruises with classic bands playing for music fans on deck. Aboard luxury MSC Cruises ships, production company On The Blue specializes in curating rock-themed cruises through the Caribbean where stars of the ’60s, ’70s and ’80s regale their fans night and day with their repertoires. Cincinnati-based sound reinforcement provider Loud and Clear, Inc. recently outfitted the MSC Divina from bow to stern with K2 and other sound system elements from L-Acoustics.  MORE
