Allen & Heath Shuffles Off To Buffalo Center

Jeremy Rollefson has toured the world, working as a live sound engineer, monitor engineer and production manager for acts like Toby Keith, Miranda Lambert, Newsboys and Switchfoot. But while he’s used to working behind massive FOH consoles, when he recently consulted on a new audio system for the First Reformed Church in Buffalo Center, IA, he opted for something that fit better with its surroundings, choosing an Allen & Heath Qu-24 console for the church’s soundbooth, and a ME-U Monitor Hub and a Ar-2412, which were placed behind stage right in a custom stage rack.  MORE

Shrine Takes A Shine To A-T

Monte Brothers Sound Systems (Ardsley, NY) recently renovated the audio system inside The National Shrine of St. John Neumann, located in the lower church of St. Peter the Apostle Church in Philadelphia. The upgrade was part of preparations for the World Meeting of Families events at the church, held during the visit of Pope Francis to Philadelphia in September. Key to the effort was the addition of new microphones, both wired and RF, from Audio-Technica.  MORE

Rose Heights Church in Tyler, TX recently upgraded its sound and lighting systems, adding audio components, video production capabilities, five cameras, video projection, environmental projection, new screens, upgraded lighting, LED components and a new lighting console. First U.S. Nexo STM Church Install

Overlake Christian Church (OCC) in Redmond WA recently replaced the original PA in its 20-year-old, 5,000-seat sanctuary with a new Nexo STM line array system—the first to be installed in a house of worship in the U.S. System design and installation was tackled by Morgan Sound (Lynnwood, WA) following a comprehensive study of the acoustical space and available rigging points.  MORE

Dale Pro Audio Debuts New Location

By Clive Young. Manhattan-based Dale Pro Audio has expanded with a second location in Queens, NY at the Jamaica LIRR Station. Under development since late last year, the new facility is triple the size of the Manhattan space, according to co-owner/vice president Valerie Lager. As a result, the new site has been outfitted with expanded warehousing, additional office areas and more. Underlining the retailer’s foothold in the broadcast market (Dale was named Sennheiser’s 2014 U.S. Broadcast Dealer of the Year, for example), the building also includes a variety of real world-sized studio spaces for customer testing and demonstrations.  MORE
