Having finally been inducted into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame last week, Rush kicks off its latest tour this evening in Austin, TX. It marks FOH engineer Brad Madix's fifth jaunt with the band, but he still faces new challenges every time, like recently when he was faced with matching impedance and pre-amplification for the band’s string section, consisting of six violins and two cellos.

Headbanging knows no borders, and as proof, former Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash (featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators) recently played a sold-out show in Poland at the Spodek in Katowice. Promoted by Metal Mind Productions, the show found the guitarist filling the club not only with fans but sound from his trademark Les Paul via a JBL Professional VTX line array system provided by sound reinforcement companies ProSound and Music Cook.
