New York City (January 12, 2006)–For NYC’s Dubway Studios, 2005 was not only a good year, but the studio’s biggest year yet, proving itself as one of “the hottest places to track,” according to studio manager Steven Alvarado. In recent sessions, Live@VH1 has continued production, bringing Fiona Apple, Kelly Clarkson and Franz Ferdinand to the Dubway set for performances tracked by Jason Marcucci, with Eric Spring assisting. Dubway Studios manager Steven Alvarado, Ben Arthur, Dubway Studios owner Mike Crehore, Dubway Studios owner Al HoughtonAnd, Ben Arthur has been back at Dubway tracking a batch of new songs for his follow-up to Edible Darling, with studio owners/engineers Al Houghton and Mike Crehore sharing engineering duties.
Chip Taylor has been getting ready to release his new album and has been working with Dubway engineer Mike Presta for the last several months. The country-folk artist best known for writing the hit song “Wild Thing” continues to record and tour the world. His new album is expected out later this year. And, singer/songwriter Terry Winchell has been in Dubway’s Yellow Room, mixing and putting the final touches on her new release with Houghton. The folk-flavored album is being produced by Mark McCarran.
LifeTime Television brought in Christine Baranski for some ADR work for her starring roll in the film Recipe For A Perfect Christmas, which aired just before the holiday.
