20th Annual Reproduced Sound Conference Announced

Oxford, England (July 7, 2004)--The Institute of Acoustics has announced that its annual Reproduced Sound (RS) conference will be held at the Oxford Hotel, October 8-10, 2004. The provisional program again promises another lively and informative weekend, in the long-standing tradition of Reproduced Sound conferences. The theme for the conference this year is "Improving the listening experience."

Oxford, England (July 7, 2004)--The Institute of Acoustics has announced that its annual Reproduced Sound (RS) conference will be held at the Oxford Hotel, October 8-10, 2004. The provisional program again promises another lively and informative weekend, in the long-standing tradition of Reproduced Sound conferences. The theme for the conference this year is "Improving the listening experience."

As always, The Institute of Acoustics will be encouraging wide and creative interpretations of the conference theme when selecting papers and presentations for the programme. They are already scheduling sessions on:
- Room Acoustics (listening rooms, studios, performance spaces
and large venues)
- Surround Sound--Speech intelligibility
- Studio Monitoring o Loudspeaker Technology & Applications
- Microphones and recording techniques
- Acoustic enhancement systems

There will also be an area for demonstrating and exhibiting products, catalogues etc, and practical and informative demonstration sessions in each of the two evenings.
