Leipzig, Germany (July 24, 2006)–German Tonmeister Association VDT has revealed details for the 24th International Tonmeister Convention taking place November 16-19, 2006 at Congress Center Leipzig (CCL). The proceeding integration of audio and video technology in the realm of professional studio and event applications will be a main focus of this year’s congress program.
In this context, the 24th Tonmeistertagung will feature an informative and qualified forecast into the future of audio and video production as well as the technology needed. The reputed “Fernseh- und Kinotechnische Gesellschaft” (FKTG) will present a special program session offering a number of practice related invited contributions on trend-setting video issues. Also, tying up to the success of last year’s topic Sound Reinforcement, this area will once again be significantly represented.
The product exhibition accompanying the daily program will see significant changes compared to the 2004 convention: The exhibits are not presented in a separated exhibition hall, but in all levels in the congress center itself, thus in direct neighborhood of the congress halls. Visitors and exhibitors will benefit from these changes as long ways between convention and exhibition will be a thing of the past.
Furthermore the congress schedules leave enough time for visiting the exhibition as well. The exhibition will present the products of about 300 German and international manufacturers with hard- and software products for TV, film and video production being shown for the first time. The integration of professional contributions and commercial product presentations will add further practical relevance to the program:
Apart from lectures, workshops and roundtables, companies will present solutions in closely located exhibition areas and demonstration rooms. In addition, relevant product contributions will complete individual issues of program sessions.
