Nashville, TN (September 26, 2006)–On the heels of its success writing and producing the high profile “It’s A New Day, Today” promotional theme song for NBC’s The Today Show, 615 Music is extending its work on behalf of that top rated morning show by customizing the song for local markets.
The promotional theme song, entitled “It’s a New Day, Today,” has been airing nationally on NBC since summer 2006, and has been promoting the “post Katie Couric era” of The Today Show and the fact that Meredith Vieira has now joined as co-anchor. Greg Barnhill and Randy Wachtler of 615 Music wrote the music. “Frank Radice, senior VP of marketing for NBC, was incredibly helpful in coming up with a great title and creative direction for this song. As I’ve said before, Frank’s one of the most musical TV executives I’ve ever worked with,” said Wachtler, president and CEO, 615 Music.
Today, Wachtler announced that 615 Music has just recently finished producing “It’s A New Day, Today” customizations for numerous local NBC stations. These include WXIA-TV Atlanta, WTVJ-TV Miami, WTMJ-TV Milwaukee, KSDK-TV St. Louis, WNCN-TV Raleigh, KNSD-TV San Diego, KPNX-TV Phoenix, WIS-TV Columbia, SC, WLBT-TV Jackson, MS, WGBA-TV Green Bay, WI, KWWL-TV Waterloo, IA, KVOA-TV Tucson and KFDX-TV Wichita Falls, TX.
