Like last year's ARTmaia festival
(shown), this year's edition will
sport an Adamson Y-Axis PA.
Sibiu, Romania (June 1, 2009)--July will find the annual ARTmania Festival take place in Romania, featuring acts like Nightwish, Pain, Opeth, My Dying Bride and Tristania; an Adamson Y-Axis rig will bring the rock to the fans.
Artmania production manager Silviu Scrob first heard the Adamson Y-Axis system at the Red Rock Festival in Luxemburg in 2007; since then, he has been requesting Adamson systems any chance he gets.
Adamson partner Omnitech in Romania purchased a 16-box Y10 and T21 sub combo in the fall of 2007, and followed it up with an additional Y10 and Spektrix order in 2008, thus facilitating Scrob's requests.
The recent first ARTmania event with Omnitech's Adamson system took place at the 4,060-seat Sala Palatui (Palace Hall) in Bucharest, which featured Anathema and Kenny G. Artur Fleischer of Omnitech Group did the system design and performed the duties of system tech. He used 12 flown Y10s per side with three ground stacked T21 subs per side. He also placed eight Spektrix as fills; all Adamson boxes were powered with Lab.gruppen amps. Thrilled with the results, Scrob said, "It sounded just like the CD; unbelievably good."
