Paris (April 17, 2007)–The Parisian club Le Nouveau Casino has had a number of lives since it was built in1850, having housed a café, theater, cinema and more, before becoming a club, multimedia gallery and a concert venue under its current name, Le Nouveau Casino. With a capacity for 400 people, the multipurpose venue is used for anything from intimate Jazz, Rock and Electro concerts to DJ Sets as a dance club, all of which are heard through a newly installed Adamson SpekTrix system.
The Le Nouveau Casino club in Paris sports a new Adamson SpekTrix PA.Audiolite based in Landernau, best know for doing sound production for the massive yearly “Les Vieilles Charrues” music festival, won a system shootout with an Adamson rig–and the final contract. The system for the venue was designed by DV2’s Julien Poirot using Adamson’s Shooter software. The main arrays are comprised of one SpekTrix 5-degree enclosure and three SpekTrix Wave 15-degree enclosures per side. A single LX10 per side is used as lip fill on the stage, in order to warm up the first meter (3.2ft) in front of the stage, and two MH121.5s are used as flown backfills for a night-club configuration when applicable.
The system is powered with Lab.gruppen’s new fP10000Q’s and is controlled with Lab.gruppen’s Nomad Link Bridge NLB60E, one XTA DP448 and DP446s. To maximize the main floor space, the FOH is unconventionally placed up on a balcony. Open every day, the Nouveau Casino has already welcomed to its stage the likes of Rubin Steiner, Stereolab, Ready Made, Chloé, Dave Clark, Nathan Fake, and Kid Loco.
