Nashville (December 8, 2006)--Just in time for your holiday shopping for that hard-to-buy-for engineer on your list, the AES Nashville section has released an audio test CD, available through Quantegy Online for a stocking stuffer price of $12 with all the proceeds returning to the section.

Assembled "by engineers, for engineers" after a survey of the test signal needs of a broad cross section of working audio pros, the disc features 71 tracks ranging from level calibration tones, noise signals, third octave tones, polarity and digital meter test pulses, bandpassed noise and swept sine waves.

The tracks also include dry recorded kick and snare drums, acoustic guitar and piano along with spoken word and a capella male and female vocals. A data area on the disc features BPM charts, Excel based calculators and other bonus material. The CD booklet includes tutorial information on using the test disc.

Student AES sections are encouraged to contact AES Nashville at studentCDsales@aesnashville.org to inquire about discounted rates for sales coordinated through their sections or educational institutions. The student rate is $10, with a portion of the proceeds remaining with the sections.
Clicking the test CD cover image in the Product section of www.aesnashville.org will take you to Quantegy's online store, and clicking the image there shows the CD track list.
