Nashville (September 16, 2004)–AES Nashville’s annual audio gear yard sale has become both a social event and gear swap. This year, the event returns to Belmont University’s Oceanway Nashville Studio A, slated for 11-6 pm tomorrow, Friday September 17.
Audio adherents from the Nashville area take advantage
of the event to clear out their closets and divest themselves of gear they no longer use. But one man’s trash is truly another’s treasure, and at yard sale prices, merchandise will certainly move. The selections at previous sales have ranged from microphones to recorders, from software to computer gear, from speakers to spare parts.
Early bookings indicate, despite the impending residuals of Hurricane Ivan, that this year’s yard sale will once again fill Studio A to capacity. Umbrella toting volunteers will be on hand to help with load in, in the event of rain.
Oceanway Nashville is located at 1200 17th Ave S, on Music Row. Set-up begins at 9 AM. Admission is free for buyers; sellers can book a table for $20 in advance or $25. day of sale.
