Paris, France (March 31, 2006)--The Audio Engineering Society (AES) both identifies and reflects on technical developments and the emergence of new markets within their conference programs. The upcoming AES Europe Conference, to be held in the Paris Expo at Porte de Versailles, on May 20-23, will introduce to the European market, the Exhibitor Training sessions that proved helpful at the NYC Conference last October.

The NYC conference was, reportedly, a great success, with over 20,000 delegates and a widespread convention program comprising the traditional exchanges and experiments between the scientific audio community and the end users as well as many new ideas and elements. Roger Furness, executive director of the AES, sums up the comments about the event in one short sentence: "It was simply the best AES Convention for many years."

The AES has achieved this positive trend with well-directed activities, encouraging many new visitors of all parts of the diversified pro audio business to participate. One important new element in New York has been these Exhibitor Training Sessions for specific product and user trainings held by the exhibitors. In parallel with the 120th Convention Programme in Paris, four thematic days will be held, each day dedicated to another important topic such as PostPro, Live Sound, Installation, and Radio and Broadcast. With tutorials, workshops and practical sessions, these days offer relevant information for the daily work involved in each area. In contrast to the traditional part of the programme, the thematic days will be held in the very center of the exhibition, open for all visitors.

Another novelty is the broad distribution of invitations to the exhibition part of the Convention. This will be achieved both by the exhibiting companies, handing out invitations to their customers, as well as the AES using several new distribution channels for systematic strategic invitations. This way, the Convention will open up for an even broader spectrum of professionals from all parts of the audio business.

For the first time, the 120th AES Pro Audio Expo & Convention will be held in the Paris Expo at Porte de Versailles, the leading French exhibition centre and the 4th largest complex in Europe. This modern and well-equipped location offers exhibition halls and manifold selection of rooms for exhibitor demos, papers and workshops, tutorials, and technical meetings.
