Boulder, CO (March 4, 2005)–Airshow Mastering congratulates its clients on their 2004 Jammy nominations, having mastered four of the 30 recorded projects nominated in the 5th Annual Jammys competition.
Airshow’s David Glasser mastered The Grateful Dead Movie, nominated for DVD of the year and Yonder Mountain String Band’s Mountain Tracks Vol. 3, nominated for Live Album of the Year, and Leftover Salmon’s song “Woody Guthrie,” nominated for Song of the Year. Airshow’s Charlie Pilzer mastered Stage, also up for Live Album of the Year.
The Grateful Dead Movie is a DVD version of a concert movie released in 1976, that includes Jerry Garcia’s original quad mix for theatrical release, a new surround mix by Jeffrey Norman, and a new stereo mix. Glasser mastered the project, including over 90 minutes of extra concert footage. The DVD was released by Monterey Video.
The Jammys ceremony and show is staged at Madison Square Garden, and emphasizes on-stage collaborations by artists across the jam music spectrum. This year’s show is hosted by legendary bassist Phil Lesh.
