Frank MassamBurnley, Lancashire, U.K. (May 23, 2007)--AMS Neve Ltd. has appointed Frank Massam vice president of business development. With nearly a decade of experience with the company, Massam rejoins AMS Neve to help evolve the company's sales, marketing and business development functions, as well as to provide product portfolio and strategic planning.
Massam joined AMS initially in 1990 as marketing director, and was responsible for merging the international sales, marketing and business development functions of AMS and Neve after the companies were acquired by Siemens AG. In 1993, he was appointed president of AMS Neve in the U.S., where he led the restructuring of the company. Massam left the company in 1999 to return to the life sciences--he holds a PhD in Molecular Biology--working as business development director for Incyte Genomics, and serving most recently as director of strategy and new business development at Agilent Technologies.
"I was pleasantly surprised when [AMS Neve Managing Director] Mark Crabtree told me that he had retaken control of the company, and that he wanted me to lead its commercial activities," said Massam. "Of course, no one needed to convince me of AMS Neve's commitment to the audio industry and of its potential to bring change to its leading technologies and workflow... I had seen that over and over again during my prior tenure with the company. We've now spent significant time and resources developing a strengthened corporate structure, invigorated sales force and innovative product development and marketing plans. So now it's down to work!"
Crabtree commented, "I'm delighted to have Frank back once again within the AMS Neve fold. I can think of no better person to lead our newly refocused sales, marketing and business development efforts worldwide. I believe the audio industry at large, and particularly our partners worldwide, will be very pleased with the results of this appointment."
