The APRS at AES, Amsterdam 2008 (L-R Nick Dimes, Wes Maebe, Malcolm Atkin, Francesca Smith, Geoff Emerick, Gil Limor and Peter Filleul).United Kingdom (July 31
, 2008)--The APRS and UK Trade and Investment are inviting emerging innovators with prototype products, and young manufacturing companies interested in exporting to the USA, to apply for support in attending the AES Convention at the Moscone Center in San Francisco in October.
A small number of UKTI assistance packages are available through the APRS that would be of assistance to new exporters wishing to explore the world's biggest market for pro-audio products.
"We are establishing a UK Innovators area around our hospitality booth so that a number of new product manufacturers can dip a toe into the exciting world of exporting to the USA," explains Peter Filleul, Executive Director of APRS. "We have special rates for a few companies - on a first come, first served basis - that could make the trip to San Francisco very cost-effective."
The APRS (in collaboration with SPARS, The Recording Academy P&E wing and San Francisco Chapter) is also hosting a reception in San Francisco that will bring together UK exhibitors with US studio owners, producers and engineers on Saturday, October 4, from 6-8pm at Pyramind Sound Recording Studios, a block away from the Moscone Center.
UK exhibitors or visitors from the UK wishing to attend are requested to contact Francesca Smith at the APRS office (firstname.lastname@example.org); Tel: 01803 868600.
Questions about eligibility for UKTI grants can be addressed to Colin Holdsworth (email@example.com); call 020 8866 6230.
