Boston, MA (January 26, 2007)–APT has launched two new sales offices in the U.S. and also two key sales appointments to spearhead the growth of the company’s North American Operations. Kevin Campbell, formerly European Sales Manager with APT has taken up the post of VP North American Operations and Ted Nahil, formerly of Harris Corporation has been appointed as National Accounts Manager.
According to the company, which is headquartered in Belfast, N. Ireland, the decision to open new offices and make such strategic appointments reflects APT’s commitment to the North American Broadcast Market and the investment being made by broadcasters for HD Radio. With several established large-scale customers and an increasing number of major project wins, APT are solidifying their presence in the U.S. and establishing a base from which to better serve their existing customers and expand their operations yet further.
“In 2006, we saw unprecedented demand for our STL and Audio Networking solutions, both for traditional FM applications and also new HD Radio channels coming from the U.S. & Canadian markets,” said Jon McClintock, APT’s commercial director. “Now is clearly an ideal time to strengthen our operations there, providing our customers with local sales and support from the new offices. The industry experience and record of sales success which both Ted and Kevin bring to their new roles will play a significant part in these efforts and we are confident of continued growth throughout the North American market.”
Ted Nahil comes to APT with over 30 years in the Broadcasting Industry. He spent six years in the Broadcast Communications Division of Harris Corporation as sales and channel manager for Intraplex products and has also worked for Greater Media (Detroit), Noble (Boston), and Shamrock and Salem (Denver).
He has been a chief engineer or director of engineering for facilities in Boston, Detroit and Denver, and in satellite radio and TV in Avon, CT., and Detroit. In his new role as National Accounts Manager, Ted will serve the radio and TV STL customers in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean.
Kevin Campbell brings a solid background in direct sales, strategic accounts management and channel management to his role within APT. Having worked with APT since July 2003, he has been quickly promoted through the ranks holding a number of sales and customer support roles with responsibility for customers throughout Europe and the U.S.
Most recently, as European Sales Manager he has overseen a significant strengthening of APT’s position in this market, securing major projects and tenders with Canal Sur, PT Emitel and Euro Radio. AS VP North American Operations, Kevin will work to grow APT’s market share amongst the Broadcast and Post-Production communities in the US and Canada.
