Belfast, N. Ireland (November 3, 2003)--Audio Processing Technology (APT) has welcomed John McCaffrey back to the company as its new licensing manager.

McCaffrey has spent the last four years handling OEM business for Andor, one of the largest high-tech companies in Northern Ireland and one of the U.K.'s fastest-growing Top 50 companies. However, prior to that, he spent some years with APT helping to establish the company's Standard and Enhanced apt-X audio data compression algorithms into the broadcast, consumer and pro audio markets. McCaffrey took the lead on APT's first licensing deal with Leitch in 1999.

APT's commercial director Jon McClintock says, "We are delighted to have John back. His reappointment comes at a time when we are actively pursuing our licensing activities to OEM manufacturers around the world. John's wealth of experience in this area, and his knowledge of the APT product range, makes him ideally placed to exploit many of the new opportunities."
