Highett, Australia (March 17, 2009)--ARX Systems has appointed Scottsdale, AZ-based Olsen Audio Group as its distributor for the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
ARX managing director Colin Park commented, "Olsen Audio Group's CEO Craig Olsen and I have been discussing the prospects of working together in the North American markets now for a while. ARX and Olsen's product philosophy is very similar--quality products, aimed into market niches, to make the audio professional's life easier (so-called 'solution products')."
Park added, "We're looking forward to working with Craig and his team at the Olsen Audio Group and to ensure that ARX products will prove as popular with North American audio professionals as they have in Australasia, Europe and the Middle East".
Olsen is an industry veteran with more than 40 years in the U.S and Japanese pro audio industries. He was involved in the touring sound industry from the late 1960s to 1982. In 1982, Olsen was employed by the Yamaha Corporation, at which he was instrumental in the design and manufacture of the PM3000 mixing console. In 1993, he left Yamaha, undertook consulting work and formed the Olsen Audio Group, which now manufactures and distributes globally the WindTech, Audio Visual Assistance and Mic-Muff brands of audio accessories.
