Atlantas Silent Sound Makes Beautiful Music

Atlanta, GA (November 26, 2003)--Silent Sound Studios has been anything but silent over the past few months, with musical legends booking its rooms. Bruce Springsteen was in the studio mixing his Live in Barcelona shows for DVD with engineer Brendan O'Brien and assistant Craig Taylor. O'Brien used Silent Sound's Sony 3348 and an SSL 4064G TRU in the mixing process. Whitney Houston also chose Silent Sound, to work on her Christmas album, One Wish. Thom "TK" Kidd tracked vocals for the project with Taylor assisting, and Mervyn Warren was the producer. The songs were tracked using Pro Tools HD4.

After the Whitney Houston sessions, Sir Elton John was in the studio for an entire month working on the music for the Broadway musical The Vampire Lestat. Songs were written, tracked and mixed at Silent Sound, with engineer Matt Stills using Pro Tools HD4. Taylor and Rob Skipworth were assistant engineers on the project. Elton John and Bernie Taupin produced the project, and Guy Babylon was the musical director.
