Phoenix, AZ (February 10, 2006)--Ell-Saline High School just outside Salina, KS had a loud, reverberant gym, just like any other high school, where it was a challenge for the PA to cut through the crowd noise. A recent redeisng using Atlas Sound AH9040CD "stadium" horns reportedly changed that.

Brad Johnson from Sound Innovations, the AV integration division of Midwest Music Inc., in Salina, KS took on the effort. "Using Ease software, we evaluated the school's needs, plugged the data we gathered into the program and found that the AH horns emerged as the best result for pattern control, SPL compatibility and price point," Johnson said.

The gymnasium was installed with six AH series horns, three placed on each side. The speakers have been used for pep rallies, basketball games, assemblies and will eventually help with commencement at the end of the school year. These horns are suited for these applications because they were created for directional sound distribution where full range reproduction, maximum intelligibility and high sound pressure levels are required.

"The school, fans, players and everyone in between are all very impressed with the sound quality in the gymnasium and it's one of the best shipping jobs I've ever seen," Johnson continued. "We've had several other schools inquire about these speakers since we completed the installation. I expect to install a lot more of them in our area this year."
