Trenton, NJ (October 17, 2005)–In July 2005, the Republican Senate Committee meeting room in Trenton, NJ received an audio upgrade that included Atlas Sound SM52 surface mount speakers and a WA200-61B rack.
“It is an old room in the New Jersey State House that had been renovated a few years ago but the former sound system wasn’t performing well,” said Rob Leiggi, technical sales manager at KSB Electronics who oversaw the installation. “The old system didn’t deliver the intelligibility, volume or coverage that the Senate members demanded of their meetings and the appearance of the speakers wasn’t conducive to the style of the room.”
Accordingly, Leiggi chose Atlas’ SM52 surface mount speakers to deliver the Senate member’s dialogue to the attendees of the meeting as well as the gallery and support personnel. To accommodate and secure important components like the conference system control units, base stations, chargers and amplifiers, the New Jersey Republican Senate relies on an Atlas Sound WA200-61B rack. Its multiple shelves hold a number of base stations as they are charging for the next meeting while the locking door keeps the components secure when the room is not in use.
“We have been an Atlas dealer for many years and have always been extremely happy with the quality of the Atlas products,” Leiggi said. “The SM52s are perfect for this room because of their appearance and excellent sound quality. And the Atlas rack is certainly a solid performer, as they always are. It looks great sitting in the room and the knockouts allow for very easy, neat wire management. The Senate has met in this room several times and everyone is very pleased with the sound.”
