Santa Monica, CA (May 31, 2006)–Union Editorial announced that Dona Richardson has come on board as an in-house mixer. Richardson brings 10 years of experience to Union, and will be responsible for audio post-production and sound design on the company’s large volume of commercial projects. She was previously a mixer at Santa Monica’s AudioBanks, a post she held for almost four years.
Michael Raimondi, executive producer and partner, Union Editorial, said, “I’ve known Dona for ages, and have been wanting to work with her for just as long. She has a great reputation in the industry as both a talented mixer and someone who’s just a joy to work with. Since she’s joined our team, I’ve received only rave reviews from our clients, who praise her professionalism and skill.”
Richardson’s new position at Union will involve collaborating with the staff editors on sound editing, design and mix for commercials and music videos. Since she started, she has already completed campaigns for Chevrolet, Kia, Albertsons, Bell South and NFL Network. During her previous tenure with AudioBanks, Richardson developed a client roster that comprised Sony PlayStation 2, IBM, McDonald’s, Reebok, Taco Bell, Honda, Visa, Toyota, and Budweiser, to name just a few. She has also worked on music videos, doing sound design and mix for artists including Jennifer Lopez, Pink, Ja Rule and LL Cool J. She got her start at Hollywood Recording at 20, where she was receptionist. Within two years, she had graduated to the post of mixer.
Said Richardson, “Union really fosters a genuine creative vibe–you feel it from the moment you walk in and are greeted by reception, to when you step into the edit bays and mixing rooms, so I was very happy to accept a position here. Plus, Unionis run by a fabulous bunch of people. I very much look forward to our future collaborations together.”
