New York, NY (March 3, 2006)–Commercial mix house audioEngine and music industry rising star Jeremy Berman have joined forces to launch Ride, an innovative new music and sound design company.
“With the increasing trend of consolidation of music projects and workflow across multiple industries, we are setting up Ride to serve as the new model for music creation and production,” explained Berman. “You can no longer rely upon one singular mode of operation to be successful, especially when eyeing future trends.”
With Ride, Berman and his team are creating an integrated approach that will reach the various music industries including artists, commercials, film, television, video games and web content, with an emphasis on its initial core business of music and sound for television commercials. Ride is poised to implement these creative initiatives in a unique fashion.
“Over the last few years, audioEngine has expanded our music and sound design offerings, first hiring Carl Mandelbaum, an award-wining mixer and sound designer, then adding Jason Camiolo as a staff composer,” commented audioEngine partner Bob Giammarco. “Our collaboration with Jeremy and the development of Ride is a key next step. We knew we needed someone with his background and skill sets, but more importantly with his energy and enthusiasm. He was the perfect fit for what we were looking to accomplish with this sister company.”
Berman, whose experience includes consulting and staff positions at music, audio post and ad agencies including executive music producer at J. Walter Thompson. Berman was hired as a consultant for the agency to help revamp the music department. While at JWT, Berman ran all aspects of original music production and produced projects for Estee Lauder, Schick, De Beers, Vaseline, Kleenex, Caress and Purell. Prior to his work for the agency, Berman was executive music producer for Yessian Music, founding and running the New York office from 2001 through 2004.
