United Kingdom (June 25, 2004)--East Anglia-based sound rental specialist AudioLease has just completed three major arena dates with Sean Paul. For each of the concerts, held at G-Mex Manchester, Wembley Arena and N.E.C. Birmingham, AudioLease used an Adamson Y-Axis Y10 line array system.

The three UK dates form part of an international tour for the dancehall reggae star. Over a 3-month period, from May to July, Sean Paul will have taken his ‘Tour of Dutty’ from the Middle East to the U.S. and 11 European countries, ending in Montreux, Switzerland on July 10th.

Supplied by Sennheiser UK, Adamson’s exclusive distributor for Great Britain, the Adamson Y-Axis system is controlled by XTA DP226 and DP224 digital loudspeaker processors and powered by Lab.gruppen FP 6400 amplification. Since its purchase, AudioLease has used the rig on a number of concert dates in Great Britain for artists including Air and teenage classical sensation Hayley Westenra.

Commenting on the system’s performance for Sean Paul’s concert dates, AudioLease owner Steve Sunderland said, "We used 32 Y10s for each of the venues, for audiences of around 12,000. Sean Paul's music is very dynamic, requiring clean vocals and masses of low-end punch and power. The Adamson rig delivered superbly with plenty of headroom to spare. The more we use this system, the more we're convinced it was a great choice."

AudioLease brings their Adamson rig to the Glastonbury Festival this weekend (June 25-27), where they will provide the system at the JazzWorld Stage. Artists slated to perform include Amy Winehouse, Bonnie Raitt and British jazz phenom Jamie Cullum.
