Sydney, Australia (September 29, 2006)–Just because Australia is the land down under doesn’t mean they aren’t on top of pro live audio. Jands Production Services (JPS), that country’s largest sound rental company, recently purchased a dozen 12 Clair Brothers Audio (CBA) custom Dolby Lake Processors.
Jim Straw (left), general manager of Jands Production Services, Justin Baird (center), product manager, Dolby Live Sound Group, and Brad Adamson (right), audio manager, Jands Production Services, show off some of the dozen new JPS monitor racks, which each include a Clair Brothers custom Dolby Lake Processor and Crown power amplifiers. The units feature proprietary software and custom CBA presets not available in the standard Dolby Lake Processors.
Additionally, JPS purchased 48 new Crown MA3600 amplifiers and added an extra 32 Clair 12AM monitor wedges to its already extensive CBA speaker inventory. The new monitor racks debuted in September on a national concert tour by the Australian electro-rock band, Rogue Traders.
Monitor engineer Ben Shapiro commented, “This is the best monitor system I have ever heard. They sound absolutely fantastic. After I ran the 12AMs with the new Clair Dolby Lake Processor presets, I left my outboard equalizers back at the shop.”
