Crawford, the co-authors of DVD Demystified will be speaking on Thursday, December 15 at 10:45 AM in a panel called “Dolby Presents: New Optical Media” during the 7th Annual Surround Conference and Expo at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. Produced by CMP Entertainment Media, the Surround Conference will take place on December 15-16. Joined by Dolby’s Roger Dressler, the “Dolby Presents: New Optical Media” panel will cover the capabilities of the new high-definition DVD formats–Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD.
Taylor is senior vice president and general manager of the Advanced Technology Group at Sonic Solutions, the leading developer of DVD and CD creation software. Johnson is the vice president of technology at Technicolor Creative Services (TCS), a Thomson Company, and is a member of Technicolor’s HD Optical Launch Team. Crawford is the president of Television Production Services, Inc. (TPS), has over 35 years of experience in video production and has been involved with DVD technology since 1998.
The updated edition of DVD Demystified was released November 2005, and it defines, demystifies, and details DVD and related technologies.
