Quincy, IL (January 9, 2009)--Broadcast Electronics (BE) has added to its sales and technical team, naming a new western region sales manager and RF technical service engineer.
Effective immediately, Bryan Jones, most recently director of engineering for CBS Radio in Portland, joins BE as western region sales manager. Jones replaces Ellis Terry and expands the role of regional sales manager to provide broadcasters with end-to-end system solutions. He will represent BE's RF transmitters as well as BE's studio automation products and remain in Portland to effectively serve broadcasters in the western U.S.
In addition, Tim White, formerly market director of engineering and IT for Clear Channel in Sarasota, FL, has been appointed RF technical service engineer to strengthen the company's technical services and commitment to its customers. He comes to BE with 30 years of broadcast engineering experience.
"Adding broadcast engineering professionals such as Tim and Bryan to BE's front line sales and service team ensures that our customers are being served by people that truly understand their technical and cost of ownership challenges." said Debra Huttenburg, BE's vice president, sales and marketing. "Our strategy to have one team supporting 'everything BE' positions us to drive integrated, cost effective and reliable end-to-end solutions."
"Tim's and Bryan's experience as hands-on, in-field engineers brings added value to our customers and our sales and tech service teams alike," added Huttenburg.
BE also hired Rick Mason, formerly a U.S. Air Force technician with radio experience, as a first-level test technician for its Marti STL and transmitter brand.
These recent additions to BE's sales and technical team follow several appointments made by the company in the last several months, including the addition of Brian Lindemann as BE vice president, engineering, and the addition of software development engineers Rick Dorfner and Josh Timmons in December.
