Quincy, IL (September 20, 200)–Now available from Broadcast Electronics (BE) is AEROMAX-HD2SC audio processing, specifically tailored to HD Radio multicasting, embedded into its IDi 20 Data Importer. The audio processing feature is the result of a partnership by BE and lead codec pre-processing company Linear Acoustic, merging the reliability of BE multicasting with the performance of Linear Acoustic AEROMAX processing.
Integrated into IDi 20 multicasting functions and designed specifically for iBiquity’s low bit-rate HDC codec, the application is less costly than dedicated hardware. With processing control on the same screen as the IDi 20 Dashboard, stations can now control all multicasting functions from a single seat. AEROMAX-HD2SC combines multiband gain control, compression and limiting with advanced psychoacoustic control to create a competitive, yet clean signal best suited for HDC encoding.
“The exceptional reliability and flexibility of BE products combined with our latest processing developments in AEROMAX-HD2SC offers customers a complete, straightforward solution with uncompromising audio quality,” said Tim Carroll, founder and president of Linear Acoustic.
The AEROMAX-HD2SC is available now as an upgrade option for new IDi 20 Data Importers, as well as for units already in the field.
BE makes a full line of studio and transmission products for HD Radio conversion, including signal generators and FM and AM transmitters as well as studio management systems for integrating digital audio with text messaging.
