Quincy, IL (October 20, 2008)--Brent Whelan, director technical services for Broadcast Electronics (BE), has announced two new additions to the BE technical services team.
Effective immediately, Rick Voepel joins BE as repair supervisor and Doug Koehn joins BE as RF training manager, each with separate responsibilities for expanding BE's technical support services.
Voepel is responsible for expanding and implementing best practices to further strengthen the company's product repair and maintenance program. Koehn is responsible for developing BE's RF Academy Training program for the company's installed base of RF customers and contractors around the globe.
Both roles are expected to directly impact the BE customer experience in the field.
Voepel comes to BE from Movius Corporation, formerly known as Glenayre. He has 23 years of high-tech experience in a variety of roles involving customer service management, field service and manufacturing.
Koehn has more than 10 years of experience in radio operations, and an additional 11 years' experience as a technical writer and lecturer with Harris Corporation. He is tasked with establishing a new BE RF training program similar to the company's training program for its studio line, the AudioVAULT University.
"The experience and expertise both Rick and Doug bring to us will further improve BE's already industry-leading commitment to deliver world-class broadcast products," said Whelan.
