Quincy, IL (April 29, 2005)--At NAB2005, Broadcast Electronics announced that it is introducing a comprehensive data product line resulting from its acquisition of The Radio Experience last month. An updated RDS generator and RDS content validation monitor plus data software and services are among the new offerings to come out of the integration of BE's broadcast data services and The Radio Experience product development.

With these products, the company has created a complete solution for increasing broadcast listenership and revenue through text on radio as well as HD Secondary Program Services. Among the new products BE showcased during the NAB show were new accelerated RDS generators; BE is rolling out new models based on The Radio Experience RDS generators. Also introduced was the RDS Content Validation Monitor, which decodes RDS data and verifies message transmission.

Now Playing and Now Playing Plus are new data management software and services that make it easy to feed station branding, program information, traffic and weather, and even content-associated text ads and promotions. Now Playing provides Program Associated Data (PAD) text management for FM RDS, HD Radio main and secondary channels and station websites. Now Playing Plus offers a constellation of data possibilities, taking advantage of a full-time internet connection to The Radio Experience Data Center.

All the products are compatible with BE's AudioVAULT, as well as other major automation systems, and will be ready for delivery in April.
