beyerdynamic’s MC 840 condenser microphoneThe MC 840 is a compact, large diaphragm studio-class microphone. It features a gold vaporized double diaphragm and five selectable polar patterns–omnidirectional, wide cardioid, cardioid, hypercardioid and figure eight. Based on beyerdynamic’s MC 740 condenser microphone, the MC 840’s capsule has been equipped with an improved low-noise preamplifier and an impedance transformer without transducer.
Beyerdynamic also introduced the MMX 1 headset with condenser microphone. Featuring a closed headphone and cardioid microphone, the MMX 1 headset is ideal for multimedia applications such as video teleconferencing, voice recognition, voiceover IP, Internet games, voice chat, and other voice applications. The microphone is excellent for broadcast environments, providing very good noise cancellation and high-quality speech reproduction, as well as switchable gain of 20 dB, which can be activated or deactivated via the PC.
No special drivers are required and the MMX 1 can be operated with any standard sound card. The headset has a USB plug and can be connected to each PC via the USB port and operated with the Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000 or XP, as well as Mac OS 9 and OS X operating systems.
