New York (August 27, 2007)--B&H Pro Audio, a division of B&H Photo Video, has begun publishing educational guides for its customers in an effort to providing in-depth information and insights about new technologies, techniques and tips in a wide range of audio applications.
B&H Pro Audio created a specialized Education Guide for distribution at the 2007 WEVA convention in Las Vegas. Directed at professional and semi-professional videographers, it provides information about “Improving the Sound of Consumer Video Cameras,” “Choosing a Shotgun Microphone for Electronic Field Production” and “Minimizing Wind Noise When Using A Shotgun Microphone.”
This effort followed a podcasting guide, “Choosing Equipment for Podcasting With GarageBand,” which provides general information on the technology, USB microphones, audio interfaces and control surfaces, portable recorders, monitor/playback speakers, headphones, iPods and using GarageBand for podcasting.
B&H Pro Audio also distributes an educational e-newsletter, “B&H Pro Audio Update––Tips And News For the Audio Professional,” which includes articles such as “Alternative Microphones for Boompoles,” “Podcast Secrets in Garageband 4,” “The Virtual World Part 1” (a look at the evolution of virtual instruments), “The Future of DJing,” a panel discussion by the company’s in-house Djs and Engineers, and “Understanding B&H’s ENG Audio Kits.” Sign up information can be found on the company’s website.
