Biamp Names Jim Nelson Outsourcing and OEM Manager

Beaverton, OR (December 29, 2005)--Bolstering their managerial leadership and manufacturing ingenuity, Biamp Systems has appointed Jim Nelson to the position of outsourcing and OEM manager. Effective immediately, Nelson will report to Bob Yeager, manufacturing and facilities manager, and will be responsible for overseeing contracted manufacturers as well as many of Biamp's subcomponents manufactured by OEMs.

Beaverton, OR (December 29, 2005)--Bolstering their managerial leadership and manufacturing ingenuity, Biamp Systems has appointed Jim Nelson to the position of outsourcing and OEM manager. Effective immediately, Nelson will report to Bob Yeager, manufacturing and facilities manager, and will be responsible for overseeing contracted manufacturers as well as many of Biamp's subcomponents manufactured by OEMs.

Nelson brings a thorough understanding of manufacturing and business operations to Biamp. Previously Nelson was employed with Cascade Microtech Incorporated as a contracted manufacturing engineer to support the company's transition to Demand Flow Technology while improving profitability by optimizing process and design procedures. Prior to his position with Cascade Microtech Inc., Nelson was a project manager with the Corbond Corporation. Here he oversaw the successful design and construction of a polyurethane manufacturing facility. Nelson has also held positions with Asahi Glass Pacific Rundum, Ash Grove Cement Company and Oremet.

In addition to his professional experience, Nelson also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University and an MBA with an emphasis on Operations Management from Portland State University
