San Antonio, TX (May 22, 2009)--Biema Professional Sound has introduced its latest compact line array, the self-powered IVA (Installation Vertical Array) system.
Designed with smaller venues in mind, the IVA is constructed with a Class H power amp and sports built-in DSP technology. A choice of nine adjustable spay angles allow users to direct the IVA's output to better cover the venue.
Key features of the IVA system include the built-in, high-efficiency Class H power amplifier with DSP processing technology; rigging designed to be fast and secure; a reported high output-to-size ratio; selectable voltage of 115V or 230V; a total of nine adjustable splay angles; a pro ribbon driver; and a control software interface
The self-powered line array can incorporate one active low frequency enclosure and up to four passive high mid frequency enclosures.
The IVA-Sub has a rear-mounted amplifier which has two level control knobs--one for the IVA and one for the IVA Sub. The amplifier has a RS 232 connector to connect via computer to the DSP processor in the amplifier. The DSP processor allows you to control the (gain, peq, x-over, delay, phase, and limit) of the IVA and IVA Sub. The amplifier is a 2-channel, Class H, capable of 300W continues power and 600W peak power. It has XLR signal in connector and XLR signal out connector, as well as a blue LED power indicator in the front and rear, and a green signal indicator which turns red at peak levels in the front and rear of the cabinet. The amplifier has a single power cable to provide power to the IVA and one power output jack to pass through for a second IVA System. The power amplifier operates at 115V or 230V, and the IVA Sub incorporates 2, 8" low frequency woofers and can be mounted on a port loaded cabinet. The cabinet itself is constructed of a high density fiber board with a treated textured paint finish.
