Big Star Reunites at Ardent in Memphis

Memphis (June 29, 2004)--Big Star, honored this year with the first annual Heroes Award presented by the Memphis Chapter of the Recording Academy, has reunited at Memphis' Ardent Studios to record their latest album. Big Star's last studio album, Sister Lover's/Third, was completed 30 years ago, but not released until 1978.

Memphis (June 29, 2004)--Big Star, honored this year with the first annual Heroes Award presented by the Memphis Chapter of the Recording Academy, has reunited at Memphis' Ardent Studios to record their latest album. Big Star's last studio album, Sister Lover's/Third, was completed 30 years ago, but not released until 1978.

The band co-produced the new Rykodisc album with Jeff Powell (of Afghan Whigs fame), who also engineered with assistant Adam Hill.
