Minneapolis, MN (December 10, 2008)–To achieve a “Brazilian” look for its remodeled facilities, Chicago Recording Company chose a tree bark veneer for the walls, a patterned macchiato pecan wood plank flooring and emerald green granite accents. The ceiling application needed to fit this specific look, and CRC chose Bioline Wood Ceiling Tiles in natural bamboo from pinta acoustic.
“We saw the pinta acoustic product in a magazine and thought it was the right look for our new environment,” says Chris Shepard, CRC’s general manager. “It looks great, and everyone loves it.”
Bioline Ceiling Tiles in natural bamboo–some solid and some with a perforated pattern–were installed in common areas, including the lobby and elevator areas. Chicago Recording Company will debut the new look with a December holiday party for clients that will air on ustream.tv.
Bioline Solid-Finish Tiles contain 70 percent recycled material and are available in custom and six standard real wood veneers, including cherry (red and natural), beech, bamboo (natural and caramel) and maple. Tiles are available in perforated and unperforated options, and fit in pinta acoustic’s or other conventional grid systems.
Bioline Wood Ceiling Tiles can contribute to LEED credits. The tiles have no added urea-formaldehyde. Standard Bioline tiles are UV cured, have a waterborne finish with UV blockers for color stability, are Class 1 fire-rated and have a two-year limited warranty against veneer delamination.
