New York, NY (August 3, 2004)–Leading editorial, graphics and design company Keyframe Post has been renamed Bionic Media. The studio also boasts a new, larger, Times Square location with nine Avid and Discreet edit suites. In addition, Bionic Media has designed and engineered three new audio mix suites, all with dedicated voiceover booths, and one with a large live recording room.
The three audio rooms are equipped with the new Digidesign ICON integrated console system, which was just unveiled at NAB this year. Bionic Media is one of the very first companies to purchase the consoles. According to co-founder Todd Feuer, the company’s hope is to acquire more business based on the overall functionality of ICON.
“We’re thrilled about the expansion of our space–this is a huge move for us,” commented co-founder Steve Beal. “Our vision was to set up a studio that was both technologically advanced and aesthetically pleasing. Above all, we felt it was time to offer our clients audio and video capabilities under one roof.”
“Bionic Media wanted to build their new studios around Pro Tools,” stated Robert Miller, Digidesign product specialist. “At NAB, they saw the potential of centering their production workflow around the ICON environment because it fully integrates a state-of-the-art mixing console with a powerful DAW.”
“We knew that we were going to build this place once and we wanted to do it right with a new twist,” explained Feuer. “We were fortunate in learning about Digidesign ICON just weeks before we ordered our equipment. Digidesign has been very accommodating as far as getting us the consoles and helping us with all the technical specs. Thanks to them we now have three amazing mix studios that are truly unique in New York City.”
