Detroit, MI (January 18, 2008)--Blastwave FX has released Revolver, which the company states is the world's first 5.1 surround sound production elements library. The 6-DVD collection comprises 1,000 high-resolution 5.1 surround sound imaging elements, compositions, drones and trailers.

Each sound in the libraries--Blastwave, Radio Meltdown, Drones and Spoilers--was originally recorded at 24 bits/96 kHz and is delivered as a 24-bit/48 kHz Broadcast .WAV file. As with every Blastwave FX sound collection, each file comes as an additional mp3 file for quick referencing.

Revolver is a "Click N' Drag" library, which means that the entire collection can be clicked and dragged onto any hard drive and is conveniently cataloged with embedded metadata for easy search and retrieval in Pro Tools, AVID, SoundMiner, NetMix, iTunes and other popular sound library search engines.

Producers and sound designers from the acclaimed Detroit Chop Shop, headed up by Ric Viers, one of the largest independent producers of sound effects in the world, created the Revolver collection.
