New York, NY (March 30, 2004)--The Blue Ribbon guys are at it again, this time in the music rather than restaurant biz, having opened Blue Ribbon Sound recording studio in lower Manhattan. Blue Ribbon restaurant owners Bruce and Eric Bromberg are the main owners of this new recording studio, to be run by co-owner and producer/engineer Roderick Kohn.

With two Blue Ribbon restaurants in Brooklyn and two restaurants and a bakery in Manhattan, the Brombergs are fulfilling a different, but longtime, dream in opening the new studio, according to Kohn.

"We’ve been talking about opening a studio for the past ten years," noted Kohn. "Bruce and I had been involved in a studio uptown, but with this new studio, we’re really stepping it up a notch. With a large control room and tracking room, both with 15-foot ceilings, we’re really gearing ourselves towards live music, rather than MIDI, synthesized sounds."
