New York (January 25, 2008)--In partnership with the NSCA Education Foundation, Bosch Communications Systems will offer two $2,500 scholarships this year in memory of Robert Bosch, who founded his namesake company in 1886.
In addition to these scholarships, Bosch renewed its commitment to the NSCA Education Foundation President's Club, which will endow a portion of its future scholarship contributions.
"Bosch's great history of philanthropic efforts is an extension of those core values within our own professional audio industry" said Tom Hansen, vice president, Americas Bosch Communications Systems. "The NSCA Education Foundation has its finger on the pulse of our industry and forward-looking view on education. This fits well with Bosch's core philosophies and values. Education is key to the growth of our industry. "
"The NSCA Foundation greatly appreciates Bosch's continued investment in this critical aspect of the industry's future" said Tom Frericks, president of the NSCA Education Foundation. "Bosch is doing its part to educate future technicians and designers of electronic systems; this is another example of their forward-thinking philosophy."
During the current fiscal year, the NSCA Education Foundation will focus on the next generation of professionals entering the commercial electronic systems industry. Consequently, the Foundation will reach out to schools and students, offer scholarships, provide student memberships to NSCA, promote job resources and build an endowment fund for the future.
