New York (November 17, 2006)–Omnitronics LLC, parent company to CAD Professional Microphones and Astatic Commercial Audio Products, has been acquired by FBC Investment Group, a private equity firm in Chagrin Falls, OH.
Newly appointed Omnitronics president Brig Carr, assisted by newly appointed CAD and Astatic vice president of Sales Tony O’Keefe, is undertaking aggressive initiatives for both brands in terms of product development, sales, marketing, and distribution.
Carr is a senior level sales executive who served as Business Development Manager for Invacare Corporation, a medical rehabilitation products company, before forming FBC and acquiring Omnitronics. He has extensive experience with large public companies in terms of international and domestic sales, marketing, distribution and general management.
Discussing the acquisition, Carr said, “We were looking for a business that has a proprietary product, is in a niche market and has both domestic and international potential. Omnitronics LLC was an excellent business opportunity because CAD and Astatic are well-known and respected brands in the industry. They have been under-marketed until now, but both have significant upside potential because of the outstanding sales, engineering and operational talent focused on the two brands.”
Pledging to devote his full time and attention CAD and Astatic, Carr added, “We are looking at a number of strategies to grow the business, including significantly broadening the product line, an enhanced website, new advertising and public relations initiatives, artist endorsements and upgraded collateral and point of purchase materials. We are also improving our operational efficiencies with the addition of upgraded hardware and software systems.”
Omnitronics has now moved to a new operational and manufacturing facility in Solon, OH. New contact information for both brands is:
